Rei's past house and apartment on the highest floor presented the following picture:
There is no lighting in the entrance, the elevator does not work, there are mountains of rubbish and fallen plaster on the floor, cables sticking out of the walls, tattered, or rather never even finished, railings rusty and covered with spikes, dust and dirt everywhere. The building is an illustration of the end of the world.
The apartment was no better. Wiring was sticking out of the walls; there were no traces of paint or wallpaper on them either. The kitchen, if you could call it that, was located right in the hallway, or rather in the corridor leading to the only room. There was minimal furniture in the room, a bed with a pillow, a lonely chair in the center of the room, a lonely chest of drawers near the window covered with thick curtains, a small refrigerator and a cardboard box as a trash can.
There was no light or hot water in the apartment either.
